Happy Wednesday Wellness Day Friends! After a long and busy weekend, time to check in and remember how to CHECK OUT!

We have all heard the buzz word ZEN, but do you know what it actually means and how to truly live a ZEN lifestyle?

According to the Cambridge English Dictionary, ZEN means feeling relaxed and not worrying about things you cannot change. If we really stop and think, most of what we worry about are things we have little, if any, control over. Why are we wasting so much time and energy on worry, especially when worrying is bad for our health?!

Worry, or anxiety, is part of our "fight or flight" response. It is a good thing when we are in a position that actually warrants us doing just that, fighting or fleeing. But in the absence of the need to fight or flee, anxiety can become harmful to our physical health by interfering with sleep patterns, causing symptoms such as pain like migraine headaches and even symptoms of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).
