The Jerome A. Chazen Institute for Global Business at CBS offers non-credit, small group conversational language classes at all levels to Columbia alumni. Fall 2024 classes start the week of September 30 and are held online for eight weekly sessions. Classes are taught by ABC Language teachers and are typically offered in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, and more. CBS recently held Reunion 2024, celebrating alumni with class years ending in '4 and '9, along with the class of 2023. In a recent MSNBC article, Lulu C. Wang '83 recounts her journey as a child immigrating from China to the United States during the Communist Revolution and her eventual success as a Wall Street trailblazer who achieved the American Dream. Hungry for a challenge and eager to learn more, Ms. Wang transitioned from being a stay-at-home mom to developing a career in finance as one of the few females on Wall Street at the time. She ultimately attended Columbia Business School and founded Tupelo Capital, a successful hedge fund.
