AD² technology allows tractor, combine and sprayer tires to carry the same load at a lower inflation. This helps optimize traction, lowers fuel consumption, minimizes soil compaction and offers a smoother ride compared to conventional Firestone radial tires. For FFA Friday, meet Aliyah Jones, a dedicated beekeeper. Starting with a grant from the local Farm Bureau her freshman year, Aliyah embarked on her beekeeping journey. Now, thanks to a Firestone Ag-sponsored National FFA Organization SAE grant, she's expanding her apiary and dreams of producing honey and beeswax candles. With World Bee Day approaching on May 20th, Aliyah celebrates her passion for bees and their vital role in our ecosystem. Her commitment to research and community involvement has been essential to her success. With each hive she tends, Aliyah buzzes with excitement for the future. 🐝 Congrats Aliyah! 🎉

The most efficient irrigation tire is the one with the right air pressure to carry the load and get the optimum footprint with the best traction. Tire pressure seems like a minor concern in the overall scope of your operation, but not keeping on top of it could result in unforeseen—and preventable—additional costs during the year. 1. Inspect the tires. This should be done at the beginning and end of a growing season. It is important to check tires to see if there are any cracks that can cause air leaks. Extensive cracks may mean it is time to replace the tire. 🚜 2. Measure air pressure. Don’t rely on your own eye. Using a pressure gauge on each tire is the only way to be certain they have the right amount of air. 3. Check in monthly. Assessing air pressure once a year is not enough—frequency matters. Find a consistent time to inspect your tires and stick to it. 📋 4. Hire it out. In many areas, farmers pay high school students to verify irrigation tire pressure for them. A four-wheeler for mobility and a tire gauge get the job done. It frees up the farmer and fosters work experience. 5. Pump it up. While tire air pressure varies depending on size of pivot and tires, it should always be at the optimum pounds per square inch. An underinflated tire is costly in the long run because it has a shorter useful life. 🛞

Ever wondered what AD² tire technology is? Greg Peterson of Machinery Pete and our AD² expert, Greg Jones got into the details at Commodity Classic last month. Listen in as Greg Jones talks about Firestone Ag tires with Advanced Deflection Design (AD²) – how they help farmers like you put extra weight on your tractors or combines without overloading the tires. And AD² IF (Increase Flexion) and VF (Very high Flexion) tires can carry more weight at lower air pressure than standard tires for a bigger footprint, more traction and better efficiency – saving field time and fuel. Get the details about AD² from Greg Jones, learn more at https://bit.ly/4bahoKn then visit your local Certified Firestone Ag dealer to get some on your farm. 🚜💪
