The first of its kind anywhere in the world, the #Kenya national, multi-stakeholder workshop on #carbonremoval brought together stakeholders from across Kenya, Africa and the world to discuss viable solutions in developing a responsible carbon removal ecosystem and carbon market for Kenya that would serve as an example for the world. Kenya, who already produces 25% of the carbon credits from Africa, is well-positioned to be the global leader in carbon removal solutions. It is a prime location for #directaircapture given its geology, abundant #greenenergy and young talent pool. The level of energy, commitment, innovative spirit and enthusiasm demonstrated by all participants was truly remarkable. We thank the Government of Kenya for their leadership on #climateaction under the vision of H.E. President Ruto, and thank you to all the participants for their ideas and commitment.
