Changemakers Spotlight: Real Growth Stories At Changemakers Network, we are inspired by the incredible journeys our participants share. Impactful Communication for Leadership is our comprehensive program designed to enhance leadership and facilitation capabilities. With a focus on effective facilitation, leadership impact, and adapting to diverse audiences, participants engage in interactive sessions, practical workshops, and one-on-one coaching to develop and apply their skills in real-world scenarios. We love how our programs challenge participants to step out of their comfort zones and grow. Check out this heartfelt reflection from one of our fellows about their journey in our Impactful Leadership Series Kickoff:
Here comes another bout of fear... Do I accept another push from the God pushing me forward and not letting get comfortable? In all honesty, what choice do I really have? I either succumb to God's will or the devil will take me, right? So I said yes to the amazing team at Jewish Changemakers and agreed to another bout of sessions so generously organized by JFNA in the hope of honing in on my leadership skills. I realize that while I'm getting comfortable at keeping conversations flowing in person, I have a looooong way to go when conversing virtually. When large groups split into breakout rooms and people are slowly and often awkwardly entering, how do I handle the introductions? Or when the connection is spotty and I don't know what I missed or what the other person missed. It's not like in person when someone doesn't hear me. I need to learn new social cues. Mind you, I dropped out of college when it went remote as I felt a huge drop in connection and practical learning. Yet now I find myself using remote technology to meet people all over the globe whom I would have other never gotten the chance to meet! Is this your experience too? In what ways do find it easier to connect remotely and in what ways is meeting in-person better?
