The Johns Hopkins Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery is among the top ranked in the nation, earning the No. 2 ranking on the Best Hospitals list. The Johns Hopkins Department of Neurosurgery has a long tradition of breaking the barriers of neurosurgery, sharing ideas across disciplines, and melding laboratory-based and clinical research. Each year, we perform more than 4,000 brain tumor, vascular and peripheral nerve surgeries.
