From a wrist injury to a state champion again! 🌟 Kelsey Silva, an 11-year-old gymnastics star, faced a tough fall last August that could have ended her season. After slipping on an AirTrack and fracturing her wrist at the growth plate, Kelsey underwent a specialized surgery thanks to her amazing care team at Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute and Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. Kelsey's journey of recovery and determination paid off with the support of orthopedic hand surgeon Paul Sibley, DO, FAOAO, pediatric orthopedic specialist Barry Berger, MD and her dedicated coaches. Jefferson and LVHN have signed a definitive agreement to combine, creating a leading integrated care delivery system, including a national research university and an expanded not-for-profit health plan. The unified system, which would be in the top 15 nonprofit health systems in the U.S., will increase access to high-quality and affordable care, clinical research and health plan offerings and address health inequities for urban and rural communities in Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.
