Senior Fellow(Aspen Institute)| Youth leader| Environmentalist |Agri-food system Advocate| Advocate for Sustainable Catering at COP| Host of The Food Discourse

I’m super thrilled to share that I have officially graduated as a #Senior Fellow under the Aspen Global Innovators Group & NIYEL Impact West Africa fellowship, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation After 9 months of capacity-building #mentorship and #advocacy efforts, I’m so happy to say that I made it through the 1st Cohort of this amazing fellowship. As a young Ghanaian environmentalist, my work over the past years has centered on raising awareness of key environmental issues and implementing tangible solutions by working with young people like myself. During my experience under this fellowship, I explored how we can ensure young people aged 15-30 who are engaged in illegal small-scale mining transition to more sustainable livelihoods through policy influencing. I’m immensely grateful to the Directors and leaders of CSOs in Ghana especially Daryl Bosu, ROSELYN FOSUAH ADJEI, Eunice Asiedu, Mr Emmanuel Tabi and more who shared their significant insights and experience with me on this journey. They also helped connect me with the right industry players and government offices. I’ve loved every aspect of the fellowship, most importantly connecting with my outstanding fellows who have become family. Fatou Ndow, Donald SINGUE TANKO, Mojirayo Ogunlana O. Etienne Bilgo, Edward Abdul-Rahman, Mazebo N. Christian MAMPUYA, Zeinab, Koumba Diallo Anouma, EMBA, and Karam Ally Also, the mentorship experience with Sabra Saleh, CMP® has been invaluable. In a significant milestone, I delivered my first #TED-style talk in Dakar, and also got featured in Le Soleil (The Sun), one of Senegal's most widely read newspapers 🇸🇳. Big shoutouts to everyone that made this experience possible for us! Looking ahead, I am excited about the opportunities to continue making a positive impact. Here's to the journey ahead and achieving even greater milestones! #womeninleadership #climateaction #youthinleadership

Founder & CEO at SHOFCO | I believe in the power of communities | We must localize aid!

Yesterday, SHOFCO marked 20 years of transforming communities. We started in Kibera with a football and Ksh20, and we are now in 35 counties across Kenya, serving four million Kenyans yearly. We recognize that significant achievements have been made, but much more must be done to prevent increasing urbanization challenges and the impact of climate change. Thank you, my friends, Governor Anne Waiguru, Simba Arati, Sakaja Johnson, and Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo, Hon. Opiyo Wandayi, Hon. Boss Shollei and my sister Nairobi Woman Representative Hon. Esther M Passaris, OGW, MP, and all the dignitaries for coming to celebrate with us. #SHOFCOAt20

So true! Growing up, I thought my constant pain was an inescapable condition of childhood! Every day, children around the world face the twin challenges of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) and malnutrition. These are not just health issues; they are obstacles to #education, as many children are unable to attend #school or succeed academically due to these conditions. Thanks to the support from organizations like the John P. and Anne Welsh McNulty Foundation and the Aspen Global Innovators Group, we are taking significant steps towards a world where no child has to suffer from preventable diseases or hunger and miss school.  John P. and Anne Welsh McNulty Foundation Aspen Global Innovators Group Aspen Institute New Voices Fellowship Move Up Global Lola A. #McNultyCatalystFund recipient and Aspen Global Innovators Group Fellow Anatole Manzi is no stranger to the effects of malnutrition. Growing up in Rwanda, he experienced extreme abdominal pain caused by an intestinal worm infection. Today, 40% of children in Rwanda still suffer from similar neglected tropical diseases. Anatole is on a mission to improve access to better health and education in remote and resource-constrained communities through Move Up Global. By partnering with local communities to design and implement innovative solutions, Move Up is addressing persistent gaps in healthcare and well-being. 🔗 Find out more about Anatole and Move Up Global: https://lnkd.in/eexbvitG
