In an industry where only 0.2% of venture capital goes to Black female founders, AMP Beauty's selection as a semifinalist for the 2024 Black Ambition Prize is not just a win—it's a powerful testament to the resilience and vision of women of color reshaping the beauty landscape. 🙌 Congratulations to Angel Lenise Pyles and Montré Moore - founders of AMP Beauty and alumni of our 2022 PledgeLA Founders Fund Program - as AMP beauty was selected as a 2024 semifinalist for the Black Ambition Prize! With this accomplishment, AMP Beauty has the opportunity to join the Black Ambitionist Mentorship Program in partnership with Cinematica Labs, where they will dedicate three months to expanding their business! 🎉 Since coming to Grid110 in 2022, with a mission to reshape beauty culture with conscious choices, AMP Beauty has gone on to accomplish incredible things, including pitching at the 2024 Techstars Detroit Demo Day and launching their AMP on Campus initiative! Less than 1% of craft breweries in the U.S. are owned by Latinos. Norwalk Brew House exists to help change that and be an, “authentic representation of a Latino-owned beer brand.” This is reflected by their countless milestones: 🍺 Flagship product release: Bidi Bidi Blonde Blonde Mexican-American blonde ale 🥇 Collaborating with Olympic gold medalist Brenda Villa ⭐️ Securing brand partnership with Lotería® Don Clemente 📈 Being featured at Coachella Music Festival & gaining 100+ retail accounts 🚀 Co-founding largest Latino homebrew club in the country, SoCal Cerveceros 🤝 Co-founding SCC Distribution Network LLC, an independent beer distributor working with local Latin-owned breweries Now, after many years of hard work, Norwalk Brew House and founder Ray Ricky Rivera—an alum of our 2022 PledgeLA Founders Fund Program—are ready to take the next step and open up a physical location, where they will provide a curated selection of rotating guest beers from other Latino-owned breweries. Supporting Norwalk Brew House is more than an investment in a brewery & taproom; it’s a commitment to diversity, culture, and community. ➡️ Share with your community and show your support here: https://lnkd.in/gU_N8yR3 #LatinoOwned #LatinoFounder #SupportLocal #LongLA

One of the most rewarding parts of our work at Grid110 is getting to witness our portfolio companies create positive impact in the community. 🎉 One such company is Tepito Coffee, an alumni of our 2022 PledgeLA Founders Fund Program. Most recently, Tepito Coffee has announced their partnership with Homeboy Industries! Through this partnership, Tepito Coffee and Homeboy industries will work to expand employment opportunities for formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated individuals. 🙌 Founder of Tepito Coffee, Michael de la Rocha, entered our program with the goal to create a space that brought people together, while also making the best, clean coffee for their customers. Now, through their Homie2Homie program, and their partnership with Homeboy Industries, Tepito Coffee has turned this goal into a reality! 🎉 Congratulations Mike, on your incredible achievement! 💛 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gbfEBKh5
