About us
This project is funded by HORIZON-EIC-2022-PATHFINDERCHALLENGES-01 programme under Grant Agreement N° 101115420 for 48 months and a maximum grant amount of €3,984,437.50. The project is composed of five european beneficiaries (Sorbonne Université, Pixel Photonics GmbH, Institut d’Optique Théorique et Appliquée, Institute of Photonic Sciences, Pasqal). The PANDA project is centered on studying and providing novel ways to realize high interactions between photons, thus building the essential foundation for an all-photonic quantum computer. The envisioned prototype relies on a dense array of neutral atoms spaced by less than the wavelength of impinging photons. This design harnesses collective effects between the atom to implement near-deterministic photon-photon interactions with high efficiency. The project will also develop novel technologies from the industry of superconductive detection and nanophotonics providing the best performance as well as benchmarking tools.
