👉 The Saint-Gobain Foundation is part of a beautiful project in Indonesia with Habitat for Humanity Indonesia. It aims to build safe and decent houses for the community to increase their resilience towards hazards and climate change. It also promotes circular waste management with the use of brick made of 30 percent plastic waste, including our own Mortar Utama bags. 🙌 Saint-Gobain Indonesia employees took part in the construction work during volunteer days. 🌟 Following the earthquake that struck Morocco last September, the Saint-Gobain Foundation supported a Caritas Marrakech project to rehouse the inhabitants of the town of Ouirgane who had lost their homes. 🤝 This initiative enabled the construction of 33 removable family housing units as well as complementary infrastructure, with the aim of providing long-term shelter for more than 150 people, including a large number of children. These homes will also be reused after the reconstruction phases to equip rural schools with classrooms and thus support girls' access to education. 👏 Many thanks to Saint-Gobain Maroc team for their involvement and mobilization in this project and specially to Gilles Abensour who sponsored the project.

Raquel Couto sponsored a project “Rejuntar” with the Saint-Gobain Foundation, in Brazil. This is her story. ⭐️ When a friend asked for help with a project he was taking part in, the Rejuntar project, she wanted to help. The Saint-Gobain Foundation appeared to be the right way to get involved. Supporting Rejuntar alongside the Foundation enabled her to play an active part in the project, participating in the construction work with other volunteers. 👉 “The process was very clear right from the start and I had a great support of the Foundation team during all the journey. It is so great to be able to change lives with the support of the company where you work on. I felt very proud of working in a company which is truly engaged on making the world a better home.” 👏 The aim of Rejuntar project is to reunite precarious families in safe homes. 🌟 Today we're off to Johannesburg, South Africa, where renovation work at the Gordonia Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center has been completed. Over 56 decrepit rooms within the facility were refurbished and modernized. 👉 Gordonia and Group Home Services provides accommodation and rehabilitative services to people with mental illness. 👏 The project received enormous support from local teams and material donations from Saint-Gobain Africa. We are grateful to everyone who made the project a success most essentially, to Sathia Govender who sponsored the project from beginning to end.

🌟 In the context of conflict in Ukraine, the Saint-Gobain Foundation has supported projects to rehabilitate and insulate buildings to accommodate Ukrainian refugees. Some of these projects were carried out directly in Ukraine, while others were supported in Poland. 🤝 In parallel with the aid provided by the Foundation, local Polish and Ukrainian teams have been mobilized, and a humanitarian fund has been set up by Saint-Gobain Poland. 👏 Many thanks to all Saint-Gobain employees for their mobilization and specially to Benedykt Kordula, Agnieszka Hat, Kirill Pesenkov and Iryna Nagirna who sponsored these projects and to Michal Ciesielski.
