The ocean covers over two-thirds of our planet. It produces a significant percentage of the planet's oxygen and contains 97% of the planet's water, with only 3% as freshwater. United Nations hallmarks the ocean as the world's greatest ally against climate change. The reason – it's ability to absorb carbon dioxide.
