Holtec Britain submitted our tender today for the Great British Nuclear (GBN) Small Modular Reactor competition. The Holtec SMR-300 uses PWR reactor technology, the most widely deployed technology class on the market, consistent with the existing UK nuclear ecosystem. Holtec’s innovative design will facilitate modularized construction of components in UK factories, which will be shipped to site for final assembly.    Our proposal is strengthened by the collaboration with our esteemed partners, including Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co.,Ltd. Holtec is uniquely positioned to serve as the vehicle for US, UK, and South Korean strategic cooperation.   The stakes have never been higher for SMR-300 joint deployment to provide UK energy security. We look forward to the opportunity to partner with Great British Nuclear and to playing a pivotal role in the ongoing evolution of the UK nuclear industry.

Holtec International was pleased to participate in the June 18 industry roundtable at the U.S.-India initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET) meeting in New Delhi convened by NSAs Sullivan and Doval. This week, Holtec International had the privilege and pleasure to present the spent nuclear fuel management approach on Holtec’s SMR-300 small modular reactor during the #SFM24 conference at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Holtec’s SMR-300 design integrally considers the spent fuel management operations and offers a holistic approach for the back-end processes.”
