Together, we are introducing reusable containers in Sodexo-operated cafeterias and retail venues to help students reduce their environmental impact. Our Sodexo team at the Southern Eagle Dining Facility recently hosted an exciting Chopped event, featuring a Mystery MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) edition. Airmen and facility workers formed mixed teams and showcased their culinary skills by turning MREs into delicious dishes using just 5 additional ingredients. Congratulations to Airman Cristian Diodati and Mr. Andre Moore for winning the competition! Fun fact: An MRE is a completely self-contained operational ration packed in a flexible meal bag with a shelf life of 3 years. MREs are designed to withstand parachute drops from 1,250 feet and non-parachute drops of 100 feet. Talk about tough!
