From three decades of worsening symptoms to a life without seizures, Laureen Waterman found hope at #USFHealth with Dr. Selim Benbadis, director of the Division of Epilepsy, EEG and Sleep Medicine in the Morsani College of Medicine's Department of #Neurology. Experiencing dizziness and fatigue that grew longer and more intense over 30 years, despite numerous doctors and extensive testing, Laureen found no definitive answers until she met Dr. Benbadis. Diagnosed with focal seizures from her temporal lobe, she underwent successful surgery and has remained seizure-free since, now enjoying life and advocating for others. As #USFHealth Morsani College of #Medicine marks its 50th anniversary, we recognize the journey of Dr. Roger Greene, MD '87. Starting his medical education at USF in 1983, Dr. Greene discovered his passion for anesthesiology, leading to an impressive 31-year career at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Now retired, Dr. Greene is stepping down as chair of the MCOM Alumni Society Board after a successful two-year term, marking this milestone with a "50 for 50" gift of $50,000 in honor of the college's golden anniversary.
