Congratulations to member Orvin Kimbrough on the release of his new book! #business #leadership #YPOStLouis

Published Author, Independent Director and Chairman & CEO at Midwest BankCentre

“As I read Twice Over a Man, I often felt I was peering into the author's life, particularly his childhood, and I felt both humbled and horrified. It is like reading his diary or peeking inside a window to some of his most heartbreaking and formative experiences. I felt sadness for him. I worried for him. I feared for him. I cried for him. I felt joy for him. I celebrated him. Somehow, I never felt sorry or pity for him. I felt hope. His resilience was like a steady drumbeat. The light just keeps breaking through...his light could not and did not dim. He just kept turning so little into so much, creating a platform from which to make the next leap. There is a mix of old soul maturity with lighthearted positivity and humor that feels so authentic to the author's writing. The poetry is powerful! It could have been a book of poems. The quotes and those quoted are thoughtful as well. Wow!”   Michele Holton A member of the Thriver’s Club recently cornered me and said, “Okay, you’ve got some explaining to do—why did I find out about the book being available for purchase on social media before hearing it from you?" The short answer is that I received a call a couple of weeks ago from my publisher, informing me that the book had been released much earlier than expected. Originally, we planned for a late September release. When I got the news, I was tied up with board meetings, bank meetings, presentation preparations and audio recordings, and wasn’t prepared to make a full announcement. Over the past two weeks, I've been reaching out to people in my network one by one, encouraging them to check out the book. So, consider this the formal announcement—Twice Over a Man is out, and it's doing great! The generous comments I've received from those who have finished the book have been overwhelming. As many of you know, I’ve set a public goal of reaching 10,000 readers. One business leader told me, "Your problem won't be reaching 10,000 readers," and added, "The real challenge is reaching the right readers." I’m blessed to have so many good people in my network, and I believe we’re going to do something amazing with this book. My email is (ok @ orvinkimbrough dot com). Please direct any comments about the book there, or share your thoughts on your social media platforms, and consider leaving a review on Amazon. I am particularly interested in the impact of the book on you and your thinking. I am interested in your raw and unbiased perception. Scoreboard – Update (August 25, 2024) I have 50 out of our target of 100 people who have signed up to help spread the word about the book. Thank you!

"Only in YPO"...this is the first time I heard these words back in 2015... Since joining YPO back in 2016, I've grown in more ways to explain from the people, experiences and insights that I'm grateful to have obtained. What a phenomenal experience we had at the YPO Indiana Chapter retreat in Cincinnati! The past few days were nothing short of transformative, filled with insightful discussions, meaningful connections, and a renewed sense of purpose. We went "behind the scenes" with some incredible business leaders from FC Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Reds and toured their amazing facilities. We even heard from baseball legend (and stand-up comedian) Pete Rose. Well done Michael Crafton, Chris Madden & Kyle Bach and of course the GOAT chapter administrator Janet Main. Thank you for such a memorable experience and more importantly your friendship! CHEERS to many more epic experiences TOGETHER! #YPOIndiana #OnlyinYPO

Impacted by his personal experience in under-funded #schools, PRACTICE Benefit Corp CEO Karim Abouelnaga, SHRM-SCP is building a company that aims to close the achievement gap in public #education. With an entrepreneurial #mindset, he's setting goals that go beyond the bottom line to impact children, families and communities. “I thought for-profit solutions, especially in public education working with low-income children, was an absolute no-no. But I learned that it wasn't about for-profit or nonprofit. It was always more about ownership." Raising the bar and inspiring others to do the same via SERVE | Entrepreneur | Visionary | YPO | Made in Michigan, Rooted in Nazareth

For less than two years, I’ve been a proud member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), and already it's blown my mind. This isn’t just any networking group—it’s a vibrant community of CEOs, Presidents, and Founders from every corner of the globe 🌐. The adventures I’ve embarked on with YPO have been nothing short of extraordinary. ⛵ I’ve sailed the Atlantic Ocean. 🎭 I’ve experienced Mardi Gras "behind the scenes." 🏰 I’ve dined in ancient castles. 🤝 I’ve forged priceless connections with new friends. YPO stands out as one of the most influential global organizations, offering a network that’s as remarkable as it is diverse. But the real magic of YPO is found within the forums—an intimate gathering where I’m part of an 8-member 'personal board of directors.’ The forum is our sanctuary, a place of shared wisdom, judgment-free openness, and ironclad confidentiality. 🗣️ We delve into both personal and business matters—nothing is off-limits. 🔄 Monthly, we come together, share updates, and dive into pressing issues. Imagine having seven other brilliant minds collaborating to help you navigate challenges, all drawing from a rich tapestry of experiences. These individuals are more than colleagues—they’re friends, mentors, and confidants. It’s mentorship on steroids, powered by raw honesty and steadfast support. In this circle, there’s no room for fear of judgment or worry about privacy—just pure, unadulterated camaraderie and guidance. And yes, they’ll call you out if needed, because that’s what true friends do. It’s this level of candor and companionship that elevates YPO members to extraordinary heights. 🚀 https://www.ypo.org/

President & CEO @ VANTAGE Surgical Solutions | Leading Financial Expert in Healthcare Industry

They say "It's lonely at the top," and for entrepreneurs, it's often true. As a CEO, you face unique challenges that can make you feel isolated and disconnected from your team. Team members might hesitate to share bad news, fearing it might cause a ripple effect. People don't want to hear about your struggles - they just see the polished exterior. I knew I needed to find a support system that truly understood what I was going through. That's why I joined YPO (Young Presidents' Organization). It has been a lifesaver! Every month, I meet with six other CEOs facing similar challenges. We strategize, share stories, and support each other. It's a safe space for vulnerability, where everyone understands the CEO rollercoaster. No judgment, just pure, practical CEO camaraderie. It's like having an instant tribe of trusted advisors. Leadership doesn't have to be a lonely climb. Finding your tribe can transform isolation into inspiration. How do you tackle the loneliness of leadership? #Entrepreneurship #Loneliness #YPO
