Rule The Road
The Maine Bureau of Highway Safety and Alliance Highway Safety will be providing teen drivers with driving knowledge and skills beyond the standard driving education programs. Taught by certified emergency vehicle operators/certified driver instructors, this program offers instruction to teens ages 15-18* with varying levels of driving experience. By participating in Rule the Road, drivers are equipped with new skills to keep themselves and others safe behind the wheel.
*Valid driver’s license or permit and personal vehicle required for participation

Forensic Phlebotomy Class Fall 2024
The Maine Forensic Phlebotomy Program is a State of Maine, Bureau of Highway Safety approved training designed to assist qualified law enforcement officers in the procedures of venipuncture for investigative purposes. Law enforcement officers will learn the ethical and legal aspects of phlebotomy, anatomy and physiology and safety precautions.

2024 Maine Driver Educator Summit
AAA Northern New England, The Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles and The Maine Bureau of Highway Safety are excited to bring together national, local and regional leaders in traffic safety and driver education for the first statewide driver educator summit. Learn about new products, teaching methods and the latest trends to keep our next generation of drivers safe.
This is a free event and is an opportunity to come together and share information that is a valuable part of our continued education. Lunch and breakfast will be provided.
This is approved for 8 hours of continued education by the Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

Car Seat Check Events
There are additional Car Seat Check Events coming up throughout the spring and summer months. The events are free of charge and parents and caregivers can learn how to properly install their child’s car seat and have their seat checked by certified Child Passengers Safety Technicians.
Child Passenger Safety Certification Training
Coming up in the year we have multiple Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Technician certification courses. Certified Technicians utilize their knowledge through a variety of activities, including car asea checks, where parents and caregivers receive education and hands-on experience on the proper use of their child restraint and safety belt systems.
