Fall Sheet Music Decorations
I have a super simple and easy fall decor idea for you today… In 5 minutes you can create an entire wall or mantel display using merely twine or burlap and a little sheet music.
I had so much fun last year with my white Christmas motif (tour here if you like), using burlap and sheet music decorations. I found the textures beautiful and the neutral color palette so serene. And like I shared last week, orange is not really the color for me… so I thought I’d try some twine and sheet music fall decor this year.
I used some scissors, tape, textured ribbon I bought on sale at Hobby Lobby months ago, and some thrifted sheet music.
You could use burlap or twine and book pages, if you want, for a very similar effect. I actually found shapes I liked on the computer and then literally put my paper up to my computer screen to trace a rough sketch. I cut them out, looped the ribbon around parts of an old window frame, taped it to the back, and called it done.
I love the neutral colors, the variety of textures, the touch of fall… and I love the empty space. Is that weird? Do you crave empty space sometimes?
The holidays (and life!) can be so full. So busy. I hope I’m able to work a little empty space into my days as well as my decor.
How about you? Do you need to create a little empty space in your life?
Happy beginning of fall. 🙂

Thanks, Lauren!! xoxo
what a beautiful display Rachel, it makes me feel peaceful. I’m trying for simple and cozy this holiday season, and like you, hoping for some empty space around the frenzy. happy Fall!
Thank you so much, Cynthia! “Simple and cozy” sounds like an excellent goal – I think I’ll join you in that. 😉 Happy fall to you, too!
So pretty……and yes I crave space. We are building our home right now and my family of six will be moving from a cramped 1100 sq feet to a spacious 4700 sq feet. It will be a lot of space. But I don’t want to fill it all up. I want to keep it feeling very open. It’s so easy to fill a home with things. I am so hoping I can limit our new home to keep the feeling of breathing space. :). Decorated beautifully of course haha!
Oh, Holly, thank you! I know you are going to appreciate that extra space so much!! I hope you’re able to keep enough “breathing space” – so well said. 🙂
So simple and pretty! Lovely mantle Rachel!
Thanks, Kendra! We all need a little simplicity from time to time, don’t we? 🙂
