Vinicius Jr has rejected a lucrative offer to join the Saudi Pro League, reports Mario Cortegana of The Athletic.

According to the report, Saudi Arabia has a Public Investment Fund delegation working for the country’s Ministry Of Sport, and they want to try and make Vinicius Jr the face of the league for their bid to host the 2034 World Cup.

Vinicius Jr, who has a contract at Real Madrid until 2027, is said to be happy in Madrid and has rejected the offer from Saudi Arabia, because he wants to fulfil his dream to win the Ballon d’Or playing for Real Madrid. Saudi Arabia will try again, the report says. Real Madrid obviously do not want to sell him, either.

It does not seem like Vinicius Jr will move to any club in the near future, not only because of his consistent reiterations about wanting to stay at Real Madrid for many more years, but also due to the bond he shares with the club, and his constant desire to win trophies at the top level.
