Coach Steve Kerr had a very clear idea of the kind of Team USA he wanted to construct that could take the nation to compete for gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics. On Thursday afternoon, the United States defeated Nikola Jokic's Serbia with a surprising fourth -quarter comeback after starting 11 points behind. Multiple players delivered an incredible performance but Team USA was led by LeBron James with a triple-double and an unreal Stephen Curry wth 36 points in the game. After the victory, a photo of an unhappy Jayson Tatum started flooding the internet with multiple funny captions that more than likely were not flattering for the player. In moments like these, the coach has a job to speak to the players that don't get that much action and talk things over.

Jayson Tatum's Olympic Games participation

Throughout the Olympic Games, Jayson Tatum already got the DNP (Did Not Play) twice in the tournament. But he is not being used because coach Steve Kerr probably doesn't know how to use him. Although Tyrese Haliburton has also barely played in the Olympics, Jayson Tatum is fresh out of winning the NBA championship with a leading role throughout the season. But Team USA got an incredible and historic win against Serbia on Thursday with LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant playing at the top of their game. The team is just too star-studded, it's not even Jayson Tatum's fault.

What ever conversation coach Steve Kerr had with Jayson, this image that went viral does paint a very clear picture of how disappointed Jayson Tatum is from his Olympic Games participation. Coach Steve Kerr could grant him a chance to play in the final after getting a DNP in twu separate Olympic Games matches. At least during the final against France, Tatum hopes he can make up for these disappointments. That picture though, will haunt Tatum for the rest of his Olympic Basketball career. Hopefully, he can have a much more important role during the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
