The New York Knicks are looking to strengthen this offseason and they have three targets that they have their sights on for once NBA free agency begins.

Looking to improve on the last year, the Knicks are hoping to bring more talent in the door at the Garden.

Knicks targets in NBA free agency

The first target the Knicks are looking at in free agency is 26-year-old center Isaiah Hartenstein.

He took his opportunity after Mitchell Robinson picked up an injury and he shone from there, turning his break into a big payday this offseason. Even if it isn't to come at the Knicks due to their limitations, he should be able to earn a big contract somewhere.

Hartenstein is probably the best free center going this offseason and whoever manages to snap him up will have done very well.

Another target and one familiar with the East Coast is Mason Plumlee, once of the Brooklyn Nets.

Now 34 years of age, Plumlee is still a really good center and one that can more than do a job in the big leagues still.

His physicality and toughness would make him an interesting capture, even if his days of Slam Dunk contests are behind him.

Kyle Lowry, then, is another target for the Knicks and a different one. Thirty-eight years old, the pint guard would bring a lot to the Garden with him.

Like Plumlee, he has lost a little bit of that early spark he showed but the Knicks know as well as anybody how lethal he can be, having been key to the Miami Heat's win over them in the Playoffs two years ago.

As well, Lowry is a real leader and would offer much-needed depth in the position of guard for the Knicks.
