A fan showed up at the Philadelphia Phillies' stadium, Citizens Bank Park, on Wednesday to watch the game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, but he was accompanied by an alligator.

Joie Henney, the Phillies fan in question, tried to enter the stadium with WallyGator, an alligator he says is an emotional support animal, but the Phillies denied him entry.

Henney, a resident of Jonestown, Pennsylvania, has stated that WallyGator has become an important support for him as he came into his life at a time of depression due to the loss of some loved ones.

Animals allowed at MLB stadiums

Regarding the companion animal policy at Citizens Bank Park: guide dogs, service animals or service animals in training are allowed at the stadium. All other animals are prohibited.

The man went viral over his support animal, especially since children were petting the alligator at the stadium.
