Deion Sanders slammed for "clown" behavior at Colorado Buffaloes practise

Deion Sanders has been slammed for lashing out at a reporter following a Colorado Buffaloes practise session as Coach Prime bids to fend off pressure and expectation ahead of the 2024 college football season.

Sanders' first season at Folson Field began with three straight wins but finished with a miserable 4-8 record as the team finished .333 in the Big 12 Conference in the NCAA, something he aims to avoid in the upcoming season.

Deion Sanders' personality sparks debate between Shilo and Shedeur

It seems as though it could be getting to his head after some strange behavior at a post-training press session, which began with him immediately discarding a CBS reporters' question after the network ranked him as the second-worst coach in the league.

"CBS, I'm not doing nothing with CBS. Next question," said Sanders. "I got love for you [reporter], but what they [CBS] did was foul."

From there, it didn't get much smoother for the NFL Hall of Famer, who turned his frustrations to a Denver Post reporter and suggested they don't care to support the team.

"You don't like us, man. Why do you do this to yourself?," Sanders told the Denver Post journalist. "No, I'm serious.

"Why do you do this? Like you know you don't. Like why do you do this? Like what did we do to you?"

Fans react to Sanders' outbursts

Sanders is currently preparing to face the North Dakota State Bisons on August 29, opening night for the Big 12, in a game that will be broadcast live via ESPN as the NCAA college football season gets underway.

So the 57-year-old, who recently became a grandfather on his birthday on August 9, could be feeling the pressure but fans didn't cut him much slack as they ripped into his peculiar actions to press.

One user posted to X.com, formerly Twitter, "What a chump! Hey Dee-on your boys suck at football, and you stink as a leader."

A second added, "Wow, I guess he can't take criticism."

And a third said, "God, that man is such a fraud. He's going to leave that program broke and in shambles."
