Simone Biles felt the love of her husband after inspiring Team USA to another gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France as he gave her a kiss whilst brimming with pride at the 27-year-old's recovery and renaissance.

The gymnast led the United States to an impressive victory over Italy in the team final on July 30 to claim her first gold medal since Brazil hosted the famous event in 2016 as she bounced back following fights against the "twisties" and other mental health problems in Japan in 2021.

It highlighted her supreme talent and mental resilience, part of why she's regarded as the greatest female gymnast of all time, and Jonathan Owens made sure she knew how proud he was of her.

"Witnessing history every time you step on the mat," Owens posted to Instagram, with a photo of them celebrating with a kiss. "Congrats baby on becoming the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history!!!!

"Just wow!!!! 8 of them!!!!! So thankful i was there to see it."

Owens' unwavering support

Owens has been in Paris to back up his wife and as a professional athlete himself, he can be sure of what she needs for support and ensured he was available for her at the women's event on July 30.

She also has her parents there for emotional support too, which is something key to her life now following the events of the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan as she left Team USA with her struggles and loss of air awareness.

Owens' comfort may have even helped her find the inner peace she needed to execute her floor routine, her speciality, as he sent her a lovely message just hours before he flew out to France to watch her.

"Baby, I can't wait to see you," Owens posted to Instagram before the tournament. "A couple more days and I'll be there. So congrats, and best of luck."
