Jonathan Owens filled with pride after Simone Biles tops the podium again: Another gold!

NFL star Jonathan Owens is making sure to follow the 2024 Paris Olympics as closely as he can with his wife Simone Biles collecting medal after medal.

Biles is certainly the star of the USA gymnastics team and you could argue she is the star of Team USA across the entire Olympics, as she is writing herself into the history books yet again.

The 27-year-old has added gold in the team's event and gold in the all-around event to take her haul in the Summer Games up to six golds, one silver and two bronzes throughout her career as her total career medal haul surpasses 40. She then added another gold on Saturday by winning in the vault.

Owens recently joined the Chicago Bears but he got clearance to miss part of their pre-season camp in order to head to Paris and be with Biles in the early stages of the games.

Heading back to America, Owens was making sure to keep up to date with Biles' progress whilst he was on the flight home.

"Even on the flight back!!!! Can't miss it!!! Another gold on the way!!!!," wrote Owens, 29, on his Instagram Stories with several emojis, including the gold medal icon.

After Biles secured first place, Owens reshared Team USA's celebratory Instagram post. "Another gold," he wrote alongside it on his Stories, adding, "the best ever," with a goat emoji.

Is Simone Biles retiring?

The gymnast has cast some doubt on her future in the sport, though.

"Rebeca can have the next one," Biles said of Rebeca Andrade, upon becoming the oldest gymnast to win gold at the Summer Olympics since Maria Gorokhovskaya all the way back in 1952.

"I'm tired. She's way too close. I've never had an athlete that close," Biles added of Andrade after the event. "So, it definitely put me on my toes, and it brought out the best athlete in myself.

"So, I'm excited and proud to compete with her, but I'm getting uncomfortable guys. I don't like that feeling - I was stressed."
