Although he still has three years remaining on his contract, the team decided to reward him for his outstanding performance on the field.

Crosby has established himself as one of the NFL's premier pass rushers over the past five years. In the 2023 season, he recorded 90 total tackles, 14.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and two passes defended.

His performance has been pivotal for the Raiders' defense, consistently achieving 12+ sacks in the last two seasons.

Despite being a finalist for NFL Defensive Player of the Year, he did not secure the award.

Drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Crosby is set to enter his sixth season in 2024. He will be looking to lead the Raiders to a better record following their 8-9 finish in the 2023 season.

A tough defender

Crosby has built a reputation as one of the toughest defenders for Kansas City Chiefs' star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.

The two have had several memorable duels, and this contract adjustment will give Crosby extra motivation in their future matchups.
