Daia McGhee dismissed claims that she used her Love Island USA contest to get close to Odell Beckham Jr., who happened to be his brother, as she insists she doesn't have a thing for the NFL star.
The 27-year-old, who has is now a social media influencer, struck up a connection with Beckham Jr's 22-year-old brother after they met in Casa Amor, and they began known for their very physical relationship in season six of the popular show.
As a result, she was brought back to the main villa with Kordell Beckham as he dumped his prior partner, but they had some problems and eventually Kordell went back to Serena Page, his partner from Day 1, whilst McGhee exited the show on Day 27.
"If people literally looked at logic just for, like, two seconds here," McGhee began to Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. "Do you really think I was going to make out and allegedly dry-hump Kordell to then turn around and be like at the Thanksgiving dinner when I'm sitting around with his family like, 'Hey, OBJ, you wanna go in the room?'
"Does that really make sense?"
But Love Island USA is known for creating dramatic twists and it eventually emerged that she had been to dinner with Beckham Jr. in the past and had even left comments on his Instagram page, which she was eager to shut down.
"'I'm sure the only [photo] that I ever would have liked or commented with your brother in it was, like, my ex went to dinner with him," Daia recalled, paraphrasing herself. "'And I don't think your brother posted it, I think my ex posted it and maybe I commented.'
"They had three photos of him with this brother. They're not friends, they just happened to be at dinner together."
