New York Jets fans are increasingly frustrated by what appears to be Aaron Rodgers' lack of commitment to the team.

Despite the high expectations, Rodgers has missed several opportunities to practice with his current teammates, and has instead been training with a former Green Bay Packers teammate.

Aaron Rodgers has a problem with the New York Jets

This is a growing issue for the Jets, who missed Rodgers through then entirety of the 2023 season, but are relying on him to return their talented roster to the NFL playoffs.

Why was Rodgers training with Marquez Valdes-Scantling?

Recently, former Packers player Marquez Valdes-Scantling confirmed that Rodgers made time to train with him in California. Valdes-Scantling shared on FS1 that he and Rodgers practiced together in Los Angeles.

"Me and Aaron have been great friends since I've been in Green Bay," Valdes-Scantling said.

"I hit him up, told him I was coming out to L.A., and said, 'Let's run some routes.' So, we got it in, went out to some high school, and ran some routes together.

"We're good. It was good."

Rodgers and Valdes-Scantling's history with the Packers often sparks speculation about a possible reunion.

However, Valdes-Scantling is currently under contract with the Jets' division rival, the Buffalo Bills. If he doesn't make the final roster in Buffalo, a reunion in New York could be on the table.

Rodgers' absence from the team's mandatory minicamp remains unexplained by both parties.

While it's positive to see Rodgers training, it raises the question: why isn't he practicing with his own teammates, and many fans are wondering if their season is ready to implode before it has even begun.

It would be such a shame if that were the case because Robert Saleh has such a talented roster at his disposal and the one thing they were missing was a reliable franchise quarterback.

They now have one in Rodgers, but it's been so long since he was on the field, we still don't know if he can still play at the same level... and this apparent lack of bond with his Jets teammates is hardly a glowing recommendation of the man the Jets have pinned all their hopes on.
