Two of the most talented players coming out of college will be top tier when they start playing in the NFL. They were both teammates in LSU and they are pretty good friends. Now, Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers have a new element that ties them together.

The quarterback and wide receiver have placed a friendly wager for their rookie campaigns, but it is a considerable one.

The rookies have reportedly bet $10,000 between each other on who will win the NFLs Offensive Rookie of the Year award in their debut in the league.

There are good reasons to believe the former Tigers are two of the front runners to get the recognition. Daniels won the Heisman Trophy in his last season in college and went number two overall to the Washington Commanders. He is expected to be the starter if not right away, very soon considering the teams quarterback situation.

Nabers was Daniels favorite target when they were together in the SEC and he went number six overall in the draft to the New York Giants, this means they will each other every year at least twice.

The secret bet revealed

Somehow the story broke out and after some doubts about how it happened, it seems that there is one of the two to blame.

"Man, he wasn't supposed to tell nobody," Daniels said on the "All Facts No Breaks" podcast, via ESPN. "We got a little something going on."

The wager simply puts more eyes on them, as both are natural candidates to win ROY. Daniel threw for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns last season, while Nabers racked up 1,569 yards of those and 14 touchdowns.
