It is often said that behind every great man, there is a great woman, and Brandon McManus can attest to that. Although his wife, Nadia, usually stays out of the public eye, her support has been vital in the kicker's career, especially in recent days, following the allegations against him.

At the end of last week, two flight attendants accused McManus of assault and sexual misconduct during the Jacksonville Jaguars' trip to London for their two international games of the 2023 NFL season.

The lawsuits against McManus and the Jaguars shook the NFL in the midst of an offseason already plagued by scandals, from Rashee Rice'scar accident to the possible pregnancy of the very young girlfriend of Raiders owner Mark Davis.

In the midst of the lawsuit, the Washington Commanders placekicker has had the invaluable support of his family and, in particular, his wife Nadia, who has been by his side through thick and thin.

Who is Nadia McManus?

Little is known about the wife of the Commanders kicker. Her Instagram profile is private, and she apparently has no other social media accounts.

According to the Essentially Sports website, Nadia Isabella Spencer, her maiden name, grew up in Philadelphia, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.

Nadia's life was turned upside down when Brandon finally signed his first contract with the Broncos in 2014, and the couple had to move to Denver. Once in the Rockies, Nadia began working as a dental assistant.

Two years later, the couple finally tied the knot at a lavish wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, just a few weeks after the Broncos' victory in Super Bowl 50. Their first children, twins Caden and Luca, were born in 2018; Oliver, the third, arrived in 2021.

The McManus controversy

The kicker's career has not been easy. In the first year of his career, he failed to make the cut for the Indianapolis Colts' regular-season roster, and in 2014 he played the preseason with the New York Giants before being traded to the Denver Broncos, where he played for the next nine years.

After his departure from the Broncos, McManus landed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was with this team that he made the trip to England to play against the Atlanta Falcons and the Buffalo Bills in London and Wembley, respectively.

According to the complaints, the players turned the flight to London into a party. Amidst the riotous atmosphere, McManus allegedly crossed the line with two of the attendants, who decided to sue the player and the team.
