Kevin Durant currently has basketball on his mind. In fact, he almost always has basketball on his mind. But in the rare times when he doesn't, he's likely thinking about the NFL.

Durant is a big football fan and a diehard of the Washington Commanders, as he was born in Washington, DC and was raised in the DMV area. While Durant prepares for the Olympics, he used some of his downtime from Team USA practice to give an interview with Kay Adams on her show.

Kevin Durant is a big fan of Jayden Daniels

Knowing that he's a Commanders fan, Adams took the opportunity to ask Durant about their first round pick, Jayden Daniels. And Durant went so far as to compare Daniels to himself.

I was a fan of the Heisman winner. He's like the KD of college football with his body type. We feel like we got a player that could take us somewhere now... I feel like he pops off the screen. A guy that size that could move that well at that position, you tend to look at that body frame as like a wide receiver or skill position.

It's easy to see why Durant sees a parallel with himself. Durant is very lanky and his height should make him a stretch four or center. But Durant is so skilled with the basketball in his hands that he plays like a guard a lot of the time.

In a similar vain, Daniels combines his quickness and athleticism with his long frame and arm strength to create a dual threat. The future is bright for the Commanders, and Daniels has Duran't seal of approval.
