Could Jake Paul make his way to an MMA ring soon? At least, that's exactly what former UFC fighter Derek Brunson wants.

Brunson made his PFL debut on Friday night during PFL 10, beating Ray Cooper III via unanimous decision in an impressive performance. UFC and Brunson parted ways in October following two straight KO losses. PFL snatched up Brunson quickly and swiftly put him to work.

Derek Brunson calls out Jake Paul

After the win over Cooper, Brunson took the time to shoot his shot for a headline fight. He proceeded to call out Paul, who is expected to make his PFL debut before the end of 2024 according to the organization's chairman.

Paul wasn't in the building, but he was actually brought in as a guest for the broadcast during the Larissa Pacheco vs. Marina Mokhnatkina fight. He revealed that he's serious about giving MMA a shot, so Brunson could eventually get what he's looking for; although Paul mentioned Nate Diaz as the opponent he's aiming for.

PFL and MMA fans weren't exactly thrilled with Paul's mid-event appearance. A lot feel he's completely out of place in the realm of MMA.

That may be how fans feel, but money always talks. And Paul can bring in numbers that will make PFL executives consider possibly alienating the fanbase. That is, if Paul truly wants to make the jump or not.
