What is today's Copa America 2024 match?

Today Semifinal match is between Argentina and Canada, the same teams that opened the Copa America with a La Albiceleste win 2-0 in the inaugural game.

Where to watch Copa America on TV

The television broadcasts will be available on FOX, FS1, and FS2. For Spanish-language broadcasts, tune in to TUDN, UniMás, and Univision. FOX Sports will offer live streams of the matches, which can also be streamed on fubo. Additionally, Vix will provide a streaming option for Spanish-language broadcasts.

For La Albiceleste, Lionel Messi's performances have been underwhelming so far in this tournament, with zero goals and one assist in four games. Despite the sky-high expectations for the greatest player on the planet, Argentina has still managed to reach the semifinals. Messi, an eight-time Ballon d'Or winner, usually shines under pressure, so it's hard to imagine him being held down for long. Even if Canada's defense manages to contain Messi, Argentina has a wealth of attacking talent.

Argentina's defense is also impressive. Scaloni's squad has conceded just one goal in four matches, and even that was controversial. The experienced defense, featuring Lisandro Martinez, Nahuel Molina, Cristian Romero, Nicolas Tagliafico, and goalkeeper Emi Martinez, boasts 200 combined caps for the reigning World Cup champions.

The key question is whether Canada has enough attacking talent to challenge Argentina's defense. Les Rouges have scored only twice in over 360 minutes of play, a concerning sign. Jonathan David has struggled with just one goal, while Nashville SC's Jacob Shaffelburg has been an unexpected hero, contributing to both of Canada's goals at the Copa America. The question is whether Shaffelburg can continue his magic in his 15th national team cap against the world's No. 1 team.

Even if Canada manages to score, Argentina's Lautaro Martinez is in red-hot form, averaging a goal per game. This leads me to believe he'll maintain his scoring streak.
