Hello everyone and welcome to MARCA in English's live blog coverage of the UEFA Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid live from Wembley.

Los Blancos were able to defeat Manchester City and Bayern Munich en-route to the showpiece event in London, meanwhile Dortmund eliminated Paris Saint-Germain in their own semi-final clash.

Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. are the stars of Carlo Ancelotti's team and will be expected to make a difference during the match, although Dortmund have significant attacking firepower of their own in the form of Karim Adeyemi and Jadon Sancho, who will play the final match of his loan spell from Manchester United.

Borussia Dortmund last reached the Champions League final in 2013, which also took place at Wembley, however they were beaten by Bayern Munich on that occasion.

It has been a long road back to the promised land for the German club, meanwhile Real Madrid have set unprecedented history in the tournament by winning five Champions League trophies since the 2013/2014 season.

A reminder of the teams

Dortmund XI: Kobel; Ryerson, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Maatsen; Emre Can, Sabitzer; Adeyemi, Brandt, Jadon Sancho, Fullkrug.

Real Madrid XI: Courtois; Carvajal, Rudiger, Nacho, Mendy; Kroos, Valverde, Camavinga, Bellingham; Vinicius and Rodrygo

Gareth Bale on TNT Sports: "I was at Real Madrid when Vinícius Júnior first came there and he was very raw, very unpredictable. You've just seen his improvement through the years. For me, he's the dangerman tonight. He was so direct and willing to take players on in the semi-finals. He makes the other team drop off and makes them scared. He's been fantastic."

Steve McManaman on TNT Sports: "Madrid have had an exceptional year and haven't lost in the Champions League. They've got wonderful players with great ability. This is the icing on the cake - the trophy they need to win."

Champions League final singer Lenny Kravitz's incredible physical change

At 60 years old, Lenny Kravitz boasts an enviable physique that has left many impressed, especially now that he will be performing at the Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid this Saturday, June 1.

The four-time Grammy award winner shared his feelings about the event with UEFA.

"I feel energized before my performance at the Kick Off Show of the UEFA Champions League final in London, a city that holds a special place in my heart," Kravitz said.

Predrag Mijatovic on Movistar: "I am calm and optimistic. I have the feeling that it's going to be a difficult game, but that Madrid will win it. It's a game that has to be played seriously, calmly and with a lot of concentration. In these games, experience counts for a lot - although we didn't have that in 1998."

Jose Mourinho on TNT Sports: "I forget Jude Bellingham's age. It doesn't matter if he's 19, 29 or 39 - he's a phenomenal player. There are no more words. For me, he's one of the two best players in Europe this season. What he has done this season is amazing."

Owen Hargreaves on TNT Sports: "Dortmund have found a way every time. They've got great history in this competition, the most clean sheets, a good goalkeeper and defence and some brilliant players at the top of the pitch. Hummels has been a revelation; he's got a great partnership with Schlotterbeck. There's a lot they can be confident about."

How much money does the Champions League winning team receive?

UEFA earmarks a total amount of 2.3 billion euros (2.3 billion dollars) to be shared out between entrants into the tournament. Should Real Madrid defeat Borussia Dortmund on Saturday evening, they would earn 84.5 million euros. This sum excludes the historical coefficient and the 'market pool,' which could add approximately 50 million euros. In comparison, Borussia Dortmund would receive 77.9 million euros, factoring in two draws and a defeat in the group stage.

This is what the Real Madrid locker room looks like at Wembley. We'll see these images in a documentary in the near future if Madrid win.

Alaba and Tchouameni on the bench

Alaba and Tchouameni are injured but named on the Real Madrid bench. We imagine it will be so that, in the event of a win, they can collect a medal and celebrate on the pitch.

Real Madrid could occupy Barcelona territory

Wembley has a special place in Barcelona's history books, as it was the ground in which the Catalans won their first ever European Cup in 1992, before winning the competition once more in the new Wembley in 2011. But now, to add more salt to Barcelona's wounds, who have endured another tough campaign in Europe, their rivals Real Madrid could make Wembley part of their own history with a win tonight.

Los Blancos have never played a Champions League final in England. However, they have previously won Europe's top prize on British soil: twice at Hampden Park (Glasgow, Scotland) and once at the Millenium Stadium (Cardiff).

Second time lucky for Dortmund at Wembley?

Borussia Dortmund have been the surprise package of this season's Champions League, reaching the final when many had felt they wouldn't even make it past the so-called 'Group of Death' with PSG, Newcastle and AC Milan. Edin Terzic has defied the odds with a mixture of youth and experience to get Dortmund within a game of accomplishing glory, and the venue of the final is one that brings back bad memories for the German club.

In 2013, Dortmund faced Bayern Munich at Wembley but the side then-managed by Jurgen Klopp agonisingly lost in the last minute to an Arjen Robben goal. It was so nearly a repeat of that final this year, before Joselu's miraculous brace in the semi finals saw Real Madrid knock the Bavarians out.

Now, Dortmund have a new date with destiny, against the tournament's most successful ever side. The Germans won the Champions League back in 1997 and, due to their run this season, will not be intimidated despite their underdog status.

Ancelotti's words of wisdom

No coach has won more Champions League trophies than Carlo Ancelotti, and yet despite his success, the Italian is taking nothing for granted ahead of Real Madrid's clash with Dortmund on Saturday night.

"A Champions League final is the most important game but also the most dangerous. We have to enjoy being here but also know that it can go wrong because we are close to the most important thing in football, winning a Champions League, but having the fear this can escape us," he said in his pre-match press conference.

"Things have to go very well, you need to be lucky too, success is very close and so the worry begins tomorrow morning, tomorrow afternoon."

Lunin has arrived

A major talking point ahead of the Champions League final for Real Madrid has been over which goalkeeper will start the match. Andriy Lunin has emerged as a hero for Los Blancos in the absence of Thibaut Courtois, with some superb performances in the previous rounds and, for many, he deserves to start the final for his efforts. But, it has emerged in recent days that Courtois is almost certain to start, with the Ukrainian having suffered from a fever that kept in Madrid while his teammates had flown to Wembley.

Now, however, Lunin has recovered and has met up with his teammates and coach. Whether he plays or not, the youngster deserves to be in and around the squad ahead of Saturday's crunch match.

Lenny Kravitz to perform at Wembley

American musician Lenny Kravitz, winner of four Grammy Awards for best male rock solo artist between 1999 and 2002, will headline the show at the Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid on June 1, at London's Wembley Stadium.

"I feel truly energized. It's going to be such an exciting event before a final that means so much to everyone. It's a perfect excuse to get together and enjoy some music," said the singer whose career spans three decades.

During that time, Kravitz has released 11 albums and sold more than 40 million copies worldwide.

How much will the Champions League winner earn?

UEFA has allocated a staggering 2.1 billion euros in prize money for the Champions League, which culminates on June 1. The exact amount the winning team will receive is complex to determine, mainly due to the distribution through the 'market pool.'

However, we can estimate the total amount based on sporting achievements.

Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund - Possible lineups

Andriy Lunin's preparation for the final has been disrupted by illness, forcing him to travel to London separate from the squad, and it is likely he will surrender his starting spot to Thibaut Courtois.

David Alaba will miss the match through a knee injury, whilst there are fresh doubts over Aurelien Tchouameni's availability at Wembley.

The French midfielder is suffering with a foot ailment and will face a late fitness test to take part in the final.

Eder Militao is fully fit after his return, however he might not make the starting XI with both Nacho and Antonio Rudiger having formed the strong partnership with helped Los Merengues into this final.

Dortmund have no real availability issues heading into the match. Marco Reus will bring his Borussia Dortmund career to an end with a place on then bench, whilst Jadon Sancho is set to retain his starting spot on the right.

Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois, Carvajal, Nacho, Rudiger, Mendy, Valverde, Kroos, Camavinga, Bellingham, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr.

Borussia Dortmund predicted XI: Kobel, Ryerson, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Maatsen, Can, Sabitzer, Adeyemi, Brandt, Sancho, Fullkrug
