The Hardy Boyz, Matt and Jeff Hardy, have had a storied career, switching between various wrestling promotions over the years. Recently, they found themselves back in Impact Wrestling, holding the World Tag Team Championships. However, wrestling fans' dreams of seeing them return to WWE for one final run might just come true.

Chris Van Vliet, a well-known entrepreneur and influencer, shared his thoughts on the possibility during a recent podcast. According to Van Vliet, it's only a matter of time before the iconic duo makes a nostalgic comeback to their former WWE home.

"I think it's just a matter of time before the Hardy Boyz go back to WWE for one last hurrah, one last kind of like nostalgic pop of greatest hits," Van Vliet said on his podcast, Insight. He speculated that this return might happen around 2026 or 2027. "But yeah, I mean that one's going to happen for sure."

Fans are eager for their return

Currently, both Hardys are signed with TNA, thrilling fans with their performances. Despite this, there has been a significant push from the WWE fanbase for their return.

This desire was especially strong when Matt's AEW contract was nearing its end earlier this year, around the time of WrestleMania XL. Although a WWE return didn't materialize then, Van Vliet's insights suggest it could be on the horizon.

Matt Hardy himself has tried to clear up any retirement rumors. Ahead of his AEW contract expiry in April 2024, he reassured fans via a post on X that he is not retiring anytime soon. "Despite the contract expiry, I am not hanging up my boots anytime soon," he clarified, much to the relief of the Hardy Boyz' loyal followers.

Brothers are never apart for long

The duo's moves are often closely watched, as where one Hardy goes, the other usually follows. After Matt signed with Impact, Jeff quickly joined him, and together they became World Tag Team Champions. This pattern suggests that if one decides to return to WWE, the other will likely follow.

While negotiations between the Hardy Boyz and WWE might not have worked out earlier this year, Chris Van Vliet remains optimistic. He believes that a final WWE run is inevitable for the legendary tag team, potentially happening within the next few years.

For now, fans will have to continue enjoying the Hardys' performances in Impact Wrestling and wait patiently for what could be an epic WWE comeback.
