New Jersey High School Basketball - St. Mary-Assumption falls to Governor Livingston
January 19, 2012: Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922 The Governor Livingston Highlanders basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting St. Mary-Assumption Hilltoppers to 44 in the Highlanders league triumph on Thursday.
The Highlanders now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hillside for a Mountain Valley - Mountain contest on Friday, January 20. Governor Livingston will meet a Comets team coming off a 64-63 league loss to Scotch Plains-Fanwood (Scotch Plains, NJ). The Comets record now stands at 2-6.
The Hilltoppers (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Cranford (Cranford, NJ). The Cougars enter the Mountain Valley - Mountain contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Cranford was defeated by Summit (Summit, NJ), 48-46, in a non-league contest.
