In Thursday's league outing, the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) basketball squad edged the visiting Lincoln County Panthers (Hamlin, WV), by a count of 63-57.

The Vikings (7-5) will now prepare for their outing against Ravenswood (Ravenswood, WV). The Red Devils go into the non-league outing with a 6-3 record. In their last outing, Ravenswood was tipped by Williamstown (Williamstown, WV), 64-62, in a league outing.

The Panthers now hold a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riverside for a Mountain State outing on Saturday, January 24. Lincoln County will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 77-58 league loss to Washington (Charleston, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 2-8.
