The Piner Prospectors routed the visiting Rancho Cotate Cougars basketball team by a final score of 66-41 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Prospectors face the Sonoma Valley Dragons (Sonoma, CA) in a non-league game, on Friday, January 5. Piner will attempt to move on its 10-5 season record. The Dragons enter the game with a 8-6 record after their 71-61 league loss to Petaluma (Petaluma, CA).
