Virginia High School Basketball - Woodgrove tops Briar Woods

January 4, 2024: Purcellville, VA 20132

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Woodgrove Wolverines (Purcellville, VA) and the visiting Briar Woods Falcons (Ashburn, VA), saw Woodgrove's basketball squad knock off Briar Woods by a count of 78-58.

With the victory, Woodgrove upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Loudoun County (Leesburg, VA) to play the Captains in a Catoctin challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Captains come into the challenge with a record of 1-9.

Next up, the Falcons play the Riverside Ram (Leesburg, VA) in a Potomac challenge, on Monday, January 8. Briar Woods will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Ram come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 80-67 non-league win over Heritage (Leesburg, VA).
