California High School Basketball - Corning tops Anderson

January 5, 2024: Corning, CA 96021

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Corning Cardinals (Corning, CA) and the visiting Anderson Cubs (Anderson, CA), saw Corning's basketball squad knock off Anderson by a tally of 46-31.

With the victory, Corning improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Las Plumas (Oroville, CA) to play the Thunderbirds in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a record of 10-7. Las Plumas won 58-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Orland (Orland, CA)

Next up, the Cubs play the Lassen Grizzlies (Susanville, CA) in a Northern challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Anderson will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 64-51 non-league win over Fall River (McArthur, CA).
