California High School Basketball - South tops Fontana
November 21, 2023: Fontana, CA 92335 South Spartans (Torrance, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Fontana Steelers (Fontana, CA), 62-44 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, South upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Buckley (Sherman Oaks, CA) to play the Griffins in a non-league bout on Friday, November 24. The Griffins come into the bout with a record of 5-0. Buckley won 48-45 in their recent non-league bout against Gabrielino (San Gabriel, CA)
Next up, the Steelers play the Estancia Eagles (Costa Mesa, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, November 22. Fontana will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 67-65 non-league loss to South (Torrance, CA).
