The Independence Falcons (Bakersfield, CA) basketball nipped the host Hoover Patriots (Fresno, CA), 56-49 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Falcons (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Roosevelt (Fresno, CA). The Rough Riders go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Roosevelt got by Kingsburg (Kingsburg, CA), 61-55, in a non-league test.
