Kentucky High School Basketball - Rockcastle County knocked off by Nelson County
December 28, 2014: Bardstown, KY 40004 The Nelson County Cardinals basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Rockcastle County Rockets to 38 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Sunday.
The Cardinals now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Henry Clay for a non-league contest on Monday, December 29. Nelson County will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 64-30 non-league win over Marion County (Lebanon, KY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-1.
The Rockets (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Casey County (Liberty, KY). The Rebels enter the District 47 challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Casey County toppled Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA), 55-46, in a non-league challenge.
