California High School Basketball - West thwarts El Capitan

December 29, 2023: Lakeside, CA 92040

The West Warriors (Torrance, CA) basketball knocked off the host El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA), 62-49 in Friday's non-league test.

The Warriors (14-4) will now prepare for their test against Southwest SD (San Diego, CA). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 14-2 record. In their last test, Southwest SD notched a victory over Mar Vista (Imperial Beach, CA), 76-50, in a non-league test.

The Vaqueros now own a 12-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mar Vista for a non-league test on Saturday, December 30. El Capitan will encounter a Mariners squad coming off a 76-50 non-league loss to Southwest SD (San Diego, CA). The Mariners record now stands at 6-5.
