Kentucky High School Basketball - Woodford County holds off Shelby County
February 1, 2019: Shelbyville, KY 40065 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Woodford County Yellowjackets (Versailles, KY) and the host Shelby County Rockets (Shelbyville, KY), saw Woodford County's basketball squad hold off Shelby County by a tally of 49-46.
With the victory, Woodford County improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY) to confront the Bearcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 2. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-10.
Next up, the Rockets confront the Ryle Raiders (Union, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 2. Shelby County will attempt to improve on its 2-15 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 68-58 league win over Boone County (Florence, KY).
