West Virginia High School Basketball - Pocahontas County over Tygarts Valley

February 1, 2024: Mill Creek, WV 26280

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Pocahontas County Warriors (Dunmore, WV) and the host Tygarts Valley Bulldogs (Mill Creek, WV), saw Pocahontas County's basketball squad overcome Tygarts Valley by a tally of 60-51.

With the victory, Pocahontas County improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Sherman (Seth, WV) to confront the Tide in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Tide come into the challenge with a record of 3-11. Sherman lost 57-14 in their recent non-league challenge against Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV)

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Clarksburg, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Tygarts Valley will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Fighting Irish come into the challenge with a 4-13 record after their 46-29 non-league loss to Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV).
