Kentucky High School Basketball - Marion County knocked off by Nelson County
February 3, 2024: Bardstown, KY 40004 The Nelson County Cardinals basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Marion County Knights to 42 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cardinals now sport a 6-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Casey County for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. Nelson County will play a Rebels squad coming off a 56-53 non-league win over Garrard County (Lancaster, KY). The Rebels record now stands at 4-18.
Next up, the Knights play the Bardstown Tigers (Bardstown, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Marion County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 10-13 record after their 65-45 non-league loss to Wayne County (Monticello, KY).
