The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Leigh Longhorns (San Jose, CA) and the visiting Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), saw Leigh's volleyball squad beat Fremont by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Leigh upgrades its record to 7-4 on the year. The Longhorns host Prospect (Saratoga, CA) to play the Panthers in a BVAL - Mt. Hamilton bout on Tuesday, September 19. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-7.

The Firebirds now own a 4-13 record. They play next when they travel to Presentation for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 16. Fremont will play a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Los Gatos (Los Gatos, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-11.
