Kentucky High School Basketball - Assumption can't hold off Simon Kenton

The Simon Kenton Pioneers basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the visiting Assumption Rockets to 61 in the Pioneers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Pioneers now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Henry for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Simon Kenton will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 55-32 league loss to Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-7.
The Rockets (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Bethlehem (Bardstown, KY). The Eagles/Banshees come into the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Bethlehem edged Green County (Greensburg, KY), 71-60, in a non-league contest.
