Kodiak Bears (Kodiak, AK) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Thunder Mountain Falcons (Juneau, AK), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now sport a 23-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sitka for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 1. Kodiak will face a Wolves squad coming off a 12-8 non-league win over Delta (Delta Junction, AK). The Wolves record now stands at 29-7.

With the loss, Thunder Mountain falls to 29-11 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to North Pole (North Pole, AK) to face the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 31. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 9-23. North Pole lost 24-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Sitka (Sitka, AK)
